First Patient Interview

I had my first live patient interview on Monday. It wasn't that bad of an experience, but it is completely different from DPS papers that we've been writing in first and second semester. Those paper, you formulate your own questions and answer or you write a story tailored to your need. However those papers helped me quite a bit. At the very least, they gave me a sense of confidence and made me think that I know what I am doing. Those papers put me in ease when I was doing the interview. I will usually be at like super anxious stage in those situation, however I found myself at ease maybe a little nervous as a first timer, but nothing more. Hey, to tell you the truth, it is far from being perfect, but didn't make me feel like an idiot with a pen and paper sitting there and doesn't know what to do. If I have to rate myself I will generously gave myself 6.5/10. That is how perfect it is. I missed to get some information or do a complete ROS. I was jumpy over different sessions because I was letting the interview to take its own course. That is mainly due to my lack of organizational skill and didn't have a good grasp of the structure of the interview. I think I will improve greatly maybe up to 8.5 or higher on my second live interview! I am looking forward to do it more!

The only thing is that clinic visit took about 25-30 minutes ride and the winding road made me nauseous. :( I felt like throwing up when I got to the clinic.

Also I have to write a report or write-up on that patient and due by this Friday. I am pretty much done with it and doing final touches. So far so good??? Don't know yet, I have to wait and see! Can't draw any conclusion for sure yet!
