Well... the practical results turned out to be good or at least better than what I have expected right after the exam.

Today there is a movie(documentary) about Israle/Palasteinian (forgive me if I spell it incorrectly) conflict and unearthing the truth. Title is Occupation 101, but I have to see if I want to skip the anatomy TA session or not.

Let's see what I learned today... My day started out with Neuroscience, then Histology, then finishing with Biochemistry. In neuro, we covered olfactory and gustatory tracts, food and smell and pheromone. Interesting how both men and women find the mates who have different MHC than themselves to give better protection to their offspring. Wonderful ain't it, we should all thank to our parents for doing that. Then histology covered the immune system of the body. We have helper and killer and damn it was a mess XD! One intriguing thing is that CD4 with MHC 2 give you 8 and CD8 with MHC 1 give you also 8 when you multiply the CD# and MHC# together. Now learning about population genetic and Hardy-Weinberg Equilibrium! And I say bring in the math! p^2 + 2pq + q^2 = 1 talking about polynomial and perfect squares... oh that brings back the memories of High School!

One interesting thing that professor said in class keep me amused for the whole day. So I will share with you all. That is from the Biochemistry class. We were doing genetic and at the end of the class when we were discussing about stabilization selection and directional selection... he has a slide showing how education and number of kids for women correlate. That is known as directional selection as women with higher education tend to have less kids. And the thing he said after a few of the students laughed is this "Oh! you guys are thinking about this, well that is also directional selection!" Took me a while, but then if you think about it, what he said was correct as well! I think you have to be a guy or not highly educated girl to get this XD.
